Hello friends! My name is Gertie and I’m a beautiful 3-year-old gray tabby. At the beginning of my home-finding journey, a very kind homeowner in Bucks County found me on their porch and took the initiative to get me medical care. During my spay appointment, it was found that I had a dangerous infection of my uterus called Pyometra. Luckily, the vet was able to perform surgery, and I made a full recovery. I did test positive for FIV, but if I stay inside as a solo house kitty and maintain a healthy diet, I will be just fine.
My foster mama, (who has now become my forever mama), lost her first girl Dottie to cancer last year and after her passing, was hesitant for a long time to adopt again. We have grown so much over these many months, I just knew this human would be a fantastic pet parent to me when my paws first touched down on her carpet and she rubbed my head. Thank you so much to Frances B. for taking a chance and opening her heart and home to me. I’m so excited for the next steps in our great adventure together!
