Hi friends! Our names are Melissa and Carmen and we are a super cute brother/sister pair of kittens approximately 5 months of age. We, along with our mom Colette and our brother Clarence, were rescued by a kind woman dedicated to the TNR of feral kitties in some poorer areas of the city to help reduce the homeless population. Shortly after we were taken into foster by Kitty Junction, Melissa became very sick. She could not stand, was falling over and not eating. Our vet gave us the sad news that it looked to be FIP a fatal disease without treatment. The treatment just became available in the U.S. and with the kindness and generosity of some of our followers, little Melissa was able to start the expensive treatment right away Kitty Junction is SO happy to say that not only did she respond to the treatment she kicked it’s butt and made a full recovery!
We truly cannot thank Lori and Rick enough for reaching out to us in their search for a new furbaby or two! We originally recommended they meet Clarence but Rick and Lori could not help but falling in love with his brother Carmen and sister Melissa instead Melissa still had two weeks of treatment left and they graciously stepped up to foster to adopt both of them and to finish Melissa’s treatment! They have renamed them Max and Lilly and as you can see from their pictures they are so happy in their new furever home!! Lori says Max is a momma’s boy who loves to be cradled like a baby, and snuggled as often as possible. Lilly is our adventurous, independent girl who is a big personality in a tiny body. They both love to chase the feathered wand and to wrestle with one another. Lilly has recently started chirping while hunting her “prey”. The two of them are huge fans of belly rubs and pats to their bottoms! They love to sleep in our bed at night and keep us warm
