Meet Our Newest Rescues!
Rico & Anya
Hi! Our names are Rico (orange tabby) and Anya (calico) and we are two very bonded 2 1/2 year old kitties in need of a new furever home together. Our current mommy is heartbroken that she has to move into a place where she cannot take us with her.
I (Rico) am very child-like. I love to be held and will follow you around. My best friend Anya is a bit more relaxed in her affection. She doesn't like to be held but will lay on the back of the sofa and rest her head on yours or will sit on your hand when she wants to be pet. Our current mommy says we have the cutest personalities and are the best kitties in the world! We both use scratching towers only for scratching and are completely litter box trained.
If you are looking for a pair of purrfect kitties, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me or if you have any questions at all about me, please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
Kelsey - Declawed
Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey and I am a declawed 5 year old female kitty. Tragically this past January my owner's house was completely ruined by flooding and water damage. There was only one room in the house that was not destroyed. The day of the flood I sadly was traumatized by all that was going on in the house at that time – fire alarms going off for hours, firemen and other people helping running all over. With the firemen’s help my family was able to get me from under the bed and remove me from the house. I was taken with the family to a relative's house where I was doing better until I was attacked by one of their cats. I was not harmed, just terrified. From there, I was immediately taken back to live at my former home in the only bedroom which was not affected by the flood, but there is no heat, no electricity and sadly no one else there that can stay with me. I sadly have to be locked in there all day and night because the rest of the house is ruined. My owner can only visit every 2-3 days, so I am very stressed and lonely:( My owner is very overwhelmed by everything going on with the insurance company and the house and worrying about me. Because it could be 6-7 months before my home is livable, there is nowhere else for me to go and because she loves me so much and needs to know that I am warm and safe, she made the most difficult decision to try to find me a new family that could either give me a loving furever home or a family that could possibly foster me until my own home is fixed.
I am a kitty that prefers a quiet environment – I unfortunately am terrified of small kids or other cats. I like to sit with you and be loved and rubbed, but only when I'm in the mood. I am a sweet girl, just independent;) My owner is desperate to find me either a home with someone who understands cats and is patient and loving. I have been through a lot in the last 2 months and she just wants to find me a stable home as soon as possible. If you could be that loving person that could help me and my family who have lost so much, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me or if you have any questions at all about me, please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
Poppy & Checkers
Hi everyone! Our names are Checkers (front) and Poppy (back) and we are two super sweet 10 month old bonded kittens.
We were both found in different areas of SW Philadelphia with not only horrific upper respiratory and eye infections but also multiple intestinal parasites. We were so, so sick our rescuers were afraid they were not going to be able to save us:( We spent the first two nights in the emergency hospital getting the life saving care we needed to survive. After three months of TLC and medications, our rescuers are so happy to say that we are not only completely healthy but thriving!! While we are not actually litter mates or related, we have become the best of friends as we recuperated together. We love to play together, sleep together and groom each other:)
Checkers- I am the sweetest and most affectionate all black male kitten who loves life. I LOVE to play and will follow you from room to room purring along the way:) I am the first at the door to greet you every morning just so happy to see you! I am an all around very happy, mellow, and laid back kitty.
Poppy- I am the sweetest and cutest little female tuxedo kitten. I am very small and petite for my age. I love to play and am just a little ball of energy. You will always know where I am as I LOVE to give little mews and chirps as I bounce around:) When I finally wear myself out, I will take a running leap into your lap and completely sprawl out. If you lap is not available, don't worry as I will also lay on your shoulders or your chest, anywhere that I can be as close to you as possible;) To thank you for petting me, I like to give you both kisses and tons of licks:)
Both of us while completely healthy, do have some residual eye scarring from our horrific eye infections. It is in both of our right eyes but does not affect our vision at all. It is just a small spot with slight discoloration, Poppy's being a little more noticeable than Checkers'. It will never get any worse and our vet believes that in time it may actually get a little better. Our foster mom believes that we truly are a match made in heaven both physically and emotionally. Because we are so bonded and went through so much together, our rescuers do not have the heart to split us up and want to find us a home where we can stay together! We are both microchipped and are currently fostered with a cat-friendly medium-size dog:)
If you would like to add this super special pair as part of your loving family, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for us at www.KittyJunction.org or if you have any questions at all about us please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
Hi!! My name is Lynxie and I am a stunning marbled female tabby approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years of age. Sadly my owner decided she did not want me or her other cat any more and dumped us outside right before we had record breaking low temperatures. Two kind neighbors took each of us in but unfortunately the neighbor who took me had a big dog that did not like that I was there and it was feared that the dog might try to harm me:(
To celebrate my new start, I have been renamed Lynxie as I have been told that I have the most adorable tufts of fur at the top of my point ears that remind my rescuers of a Lynx cat:) I am the sweetest and most affectionate girl who likes to sleep with you, talk to you and follow you around:) I LOVE playing with feather toys and laser lights. I also purr a lot! I am ok with laid back cat-friendly dogs but would prefer to be the only kitty. I absolutely love my humans the most!!
I am hoping to find a new home which will be my furever home. If you could find it in your heart to be my new loving family, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me at www.KittyJunction.org or if you have any questions at all about me please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
Hi everyone!! My name is Abigail and I am a really cute tabby/calico mix approximately 1 year of age. I was abandoned by my family in SW Philadelphia when they moved. I was living and being fed on a neighbor's porch in a teeny tiny cat carrier when Kitty Junction received a call for help. Thankfully, the call was made the night before the first big snowstorm in January and I was brought into the safety of my current foster home just in time.
I am a really sweet girl who is a little shy at first especially around other cats. When I get happy or excited, just the base of my tail puffs up which is the cutest thing:) Once I become comfortable and more confident, I am very affectionate and love to be pet! I have the cutest little meows too:) I would do well with one or two other laid back, non-dominant cats but am terrified of dogs.
If you could find it in your heart to welcome me into your family, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me at www.KittyJunction.org or if you have any questions at all about me please email KittyJunction@aol.com!!
