Every so often we rescue a cat or kitten that despite all of our efforts just does not warm up to people or they have medical or behavioral issues which makes them very hard to find homes for:( These kitties still deserve to have a safe and warm place with full bellies. We will never considering euthanizing any of our rescues kitties for these issues and they will always have a furever home within our rescue but providing for them long term has been very cost prohibitive. These kitties along with our volunteers would be extremely grateful to anyone that would consider sponsoring them while they are being fostered. In return, we would be happy to provide quarterly updates and pictures of the kitty!
Gypsy
Hi everyone! My name is Gypsy and I was found as a very young adult female taking refuge in a Lowe’s trash can in North Wales during a brutal snow storm. It was freezing cold and very windy on top of all of the inches of snow we were receiving. I am now a little over four years old. It was pretty obvious when Kitty Junction rescue me that I had not had a lot of exposure to humans. While not aggressive at all, I was very fearful. Kitty Junction had me spayed and vaccinated but sadly had nowhere to release me back out to due to the horrible weather and even when the weather got better, they could not put me back at Lowe’s:( So they decided to give me time in her foster home to see if I might warm up to people. Considering where I started, I have made so much progress in my own way and I am a very happy kitty being indoors. I love the other cats in my foster home and I LOVE my canned breakfast and dinner but unfortunately I still prefer to avoid people. Not a trait sadly that adopters are looking for:( Kitty Junction thankfully will always have a warm and safe place for me as long as needed.
Shakey & Lucy Lou
Hi friends! Our names are Lucy Lou and Shakey and we are two of Kitty Junction's longer term fosters. We have Cerebellar Hypoplasia or what is more commonly knows as CH or wobbly cat syndrome. Lucy Lou was found on a porch in a bad neighborhood of Philly and Shakey was born on a farm 2 hours north of Bucks County. We are the best of friends and always together! Until Lucy Lou came, Shakey sadly was terrified of everyone and everything. For months he hid whenever anyone entered the room. He has made SO much progress with the help of Lucy Lou and his foster mom and now loves to be pet! Lucy Lou is a happy, very outgoing little girl but who sadly just hates to not only be pet but even touched. She will play and she will each CHURU treats right off your fingers but makes it perfectly clear touching her is off limits. She also unfortunately has occasion litter box issues due to her wobbliness being in her back legs. It is not her fault but these issues make finding her and Shakey a furever home almost impossible as we would never want to separate them:(
Donkey
Greetings! My name is Donkey and I am a beautiful torti approximately 5 years of age. I was originally adopted as a kitten but sadly returned back to the rescue a year later for litter box issues. Kitty Junction's vet has ruled out any medical causes and my foster mom has tried everything she can think of as far as litter boxes, litter etc. to try to figure out why I won't poop in a box. I have no issues peeing in a box but sadly my pooping problem has prevented me from finding a new furever home:( I am so sweet and affectionate and amazing in every other way! My foster mom thankfully is a kind soul who promised me a safe place with her despite my issues.
Fiona
Hello! My name is Fiona and I am very small and petite little girl approximately 3 years of age. I was rescued along with 5 other kittens from a large TNR project in a Horsham industrial park. While my siblings all warmed up to humans, I sadly did not. So much so that my rescuers had me eartipped with the thought of releasing me back to my colony where they thought I would be happiest. They were just waiting for the weather to turn when my foster mom noticed I wasn't really growing in size compared to my siblings and I also seemed to have trouble eating. Soon after their vet diagnosed with me stomatitus which is an incredibly painful inflammation of my gums, cheeks and tongue. The best treatment for stomatitus is sadly the removal of most or all of my teeth as that reduces the amount of bacteria present and reduces the inflammatory response. Once I had this done I was feeling so much better, but that also created the dilemma of whether I would be able to survive as an outdoor colony kitty with no teeth:( My rescuers just could not take the chance that I wouldn't be able to fend for myself so I am still in my foster home. I do love my other kitty friends and I also LOVE my canned food! I am the first one waiting in the morning and at dinner time and I also have become very playful where I often get the zoomies! I just prefer that humans let me be and don't try to interact with me. For this reason I am not really a candidate for adoption but thankfully my rescuers say that I will always have a safe place with them.
